Hi I'm Esther Loli

I was born & raised in Newcastle, Australia. I have been called to serve in El Salvador/Belize & I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm twenty three and love life. I work for an insurance company in the busy city where life is fast and time goes slow. I travel 2 hours to work and 2 hours back, everyday. I love to travel, I love my family and I love the Gospel - not particularly in that order. I have a big family: dad. mum, 5 sisters, 2 brothers, 2 brother-in-laws, 3 nieces, 3 nephews, one nephew or niece on the way and a dog named Tyson. I was born and raised in a nice suburb on the lake and close to the beach where my siblings and I enjoyed the water almost everyday (or whenever we could). I am very family oriented, love my friends and love making new ones. I don't believe in coincidence or chance. I believe that everything happens for a reason and that bad things happen so that we can recognise good when it comes. I know that smiling is contagious and I love being a Mormon!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born a Mormon. My mother also born a Mormon, my father was not born of our faith. Although he was born a Christian. It wasn't until after my parents were married that my father was baptised. Growing up in this church, I knew nothing else and always stuck to the rules/commandments. My parents making sure they were enforced. I got to high school and things seemed a little strange, I felt as though I was missing out and my friends were having more fun than I was. Eventually, the curiosity got the better of me and I fell. I was able to find my feet again a few years after and I haven't gone back to that life since. I love the Gospel with all of my heart and I am so grateful for the years that I spent in the dark otherwise I would not know how good the light is and how true the Gospel really is. I can truly say that I have been converted. I know that our Heavenly Father is real. I know that He lives and loves me, He loves us! I know that our Saviour Jesus Christ came to this earth and lived and died for us so that we could have the Atonement and be able to live again. I am so grateful for the Atonement because it means that even though we fall into transgression, we are able to come back and repent and be forgiven. I know that the Book of Mormon, The Holy Bible, Doctrine and Covenants and the Pearl of Great Price are the words of God, spoken through His prophets. I am so overjoyed for the Plan of Salvation, the Plan of Happiness that say that we can be with our families for eternity, that families are eternal because I love my family with everything I have - with all of my heart! I am so blessed to have been able to see the light once again and be able to find my testimony on my own and have it be this strong that I can say right now, I would die for my faith. I would give my life for it. I love you all, and I say these things, through and in the sacred name of Jesus Christ. Amen!

How I live my faith

I attend a small ward, just a few people short of being a branch (a smaller version of a ward). I am the Chorister and have been for a few years now. I would often come late because I would sleep in most Sunday mornings which leaves to wonder why they would call me to be Chorister, probably because they knew that Chorister needs to be at church extra early (to conduct the hymns). Once I was called (or given) this calling, I would strive to be there on time to carry out my calling. At first, it was a little daunting standing in front of the congregation waving my arms around and leading them in song. But then after a few weeks of doing it, I started to become more comfortable with it and more confident. I love to sing and now I am able to do with every Sunday without fail, because I am there on time. I also love seeing the smiling faces of the Brothers and Sisters because it just shows the love in their eyes as they sing praises to our Heavenly Father and saviour Jesus Christ.
