Hi I'm Lynn

I'm a teacher and trainer for a large technology company. Every day is a blessing! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've enjoyed a great career in education, as a teacher, administrator, and leader of a nonprofit agency. Now I've discovered my second career as a technology trainer. In my spare time, I love writing, reading, photography, good movies, playing with my dog, time with family and friends, and quiet time with my wonderful husband. We live minutes from the Gulf of Mexico beaches, and welcome visitors to sunny south Florida! And I'm a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

As I began to study the Gospel, I realized that I was learning the answers to Gospel questions that I had had for years. The answers I had been seeking clicked into place like pieces of a puzzle. I was learning new things...but the truth had a ring of familiarity, and I never doubted that the Gospel was true. I love the Church's emphasis on continued learning, on service, and on the remarkable gift of the atonement.

How I live my faith

Service is a way of life for me. I feel closest to Heavenly Father when I am in the service of others. In my 11 years as a Church member, I have served in callings with the women's organization, young women (including going to camp!), Sunday school, and supporting our missionaries. In each and every position in which I have served, I have learned a lot about others...about our Heavenly Father...and about myself.

Are Mormons Christians?

The Mormon faith is centered on a belief in God as our Heavenly Father, and in Jesus Christ as His son. I believe in Jesus Christ as my personal savior, and as the savior of the world. It is through the atonement of Christ that we can return to live with our Heavenly Father. Mormons strive to live according to the example of Christ. We study His teachings, we pray in His name, and we know that He is indeed the light of the world! Show more Show less

What is the Relief Society?

The Relief Society is the women's organization of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. All female members of the Church age 18 and over are members of the Relief Society. This organization carries out many essential functions to support women in their daily lives, as we strive to live according to the Gospel. The Relief Society offers women many opportunities to learn important principles of the Gospel, to serve others, and to build deep and lasting friendships. Relief Society programs are relevant to women of all ages, stages, and walks of life...single or married, young or "not so young," career women, full-time moms, grandparents...you name it. The Relief Society is a blessing for Mormon women around the world - and through this organization, we have the chance to bless others. Show more Show less
