Hi I'm Angelique Reweti

I live in Aotearoa New Zealand. I'm a daughter from a family of 6 children, a wife, a first time mum and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My background is diverse having worked in adventure tourism, the humanitarian industry, and mental health. I went back to univeristy as an adult student and have just completed my postgraduate studies in Maori (Indigenous) Health focusing on whanau (family) development. I love the outdoors and am an advid fan of 'gourmet tramping' at the many backcountry huts scattered throughout New Zealand. But my number one passion is being a wife and a fulltime mum to our beautiful baby boy.

Why I am a Mormon

I had an amazing journey into the gospel - it felt like I had an orchestra of angels working overtime to ensure that I was in the right place at the right time to hear the messages that I needed to receive. I'd always had a strong belief in Jesus Christ and Heavenley Father but had always thought that churches were 'man-made political ventures' so I prefered worshiping on my own. Through prayer I received a witness of the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints so took the journey into the waters of Baptism at the age of 36. The gospel has expanded my horizons and as I've learnt and undertaken to act upon the light and knowledge that I've received, I have been truly blessed.

How I live my faith

Being a member of the church is not just a Sunday activity but something that is incorporated into our daily life. Our home is filled with music, family, scripture study and prayer. I teach the young women in our church helping to develop their testimonies of what they believe. I also teach a class which helps people to prepare to go to the Temple focusing on family history and the teachings of Jesus Christ.
