Hi I'm Eleanor

I am a student. I want to be a writer. I love travel. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Eleanor Joy Briggs. I believe that the happiest people are those who know their identity and purpose. Therefore they know their worth. I believe that service can fix any problem, because it takes your mind away from yourself and puts it toward Christ. I pray that we can all realize our divine potential as children of our Heavenly Father, and work to achieve that potential. I am a sister, daughter, friend, leader, follower, student, nerd, writer, servant, and work-in-progress. Christ died for me, and so I shall live for Him. Christ gave His life for me, and I will give Him mine. And I'm a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

The church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is all about loving your fellow man, and loving God. Through service and loving others, we are serving our Heavenly Father. Heavenly Father sent down His Son, Jesus Christ, to die for us. Christ died for me, and so I shall live for Him. Christ gave His life for me, and I will give Him mine.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by always striving to be a force for good. I want to pick people up when they are down, and give hope to those who have none.

What are Mormon temples used for?

Eleanor
The temple is a place of peace and love. It is where we can be closest to our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. It is an environment where we go to search for answers and feel the Spirit testify to us of what to do. It teaches us where we came from, why we are here, and where we are going. It strengthens families, and brings spouses closer together. The temple is the House of the Lord, as it was in ancient times. Show more Show less
