Hi I'm Michael

I was born and raised in Utah of the USA. I play guitar and love music. I am a Mormon.

About Me

Right now in my life, I am mainly going to school and still have quite a bit of school in front of me. Eventually I hope to work in the medical field for a career and as a result, have quite a bit more learning to do. I love to learn and Science is one of my favorite subjects in school. I also love music and mainly play the guitar and am trying to learn piano, which is slowly coming along. I also love camping and outdoor activities and very happy of the fact of being an Eagle Scout, which for me, was an amazing adventure and I look forward to many more.

Why I am a Mormon

Though I was basically 'born' into the church and have been raised in Utah and around many Mormons, I really do believe that this church teaches The Gospel of Jesus Christ. When I was baptized I remember feeling peaceful and that I was doing the right thing. Yet despite this, as time wore on I recall becoming somewhat distant from the church and I am very sure that had I continued in that mind set I would not be even close to the person I am. One of the things that really confirmed the authenticity of The Gospel was through music. I always had enjoyed music and the way it made me feel. I also remember how the music from the hymns would comfort me, teach me, and even would help me understand what I should do. These feeling and confirmations helped me stay with good values and even helped me until I did receive my own testimony that the Book of Mormon was the word of God and now I strongly believe that it is true. I also am sure that if one reads and prays humbly about the Book of Mormon, that they will receive an answer and I know this because I have had this experience myself.

How I live my faith

I love my faith and I really try to do my best in living my religion. I feel that the biggest indicator of the creed we believe in really ends up being how we live it and that this is true no mater who we are. I know that I am defiantly not perfect and have a long way to go. I currently serve in a leadership position among my peers and I do my best helping out and doing my part. I also have developed a love of serving the elderly and I enjoy visiting with them as well as helping them out. I sometimes teach or help teach lessons both in church and in peoples homes. I like to share the things that I have learned and I hope that it will continue to change my life.
