Hi I'm Krista Larsen

I live in Utah and am the oldest of five crazy kids. I enjoy Lord of the Rings and playing Chopin on the piano. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to go four wheeling, hiking and camping. I love to work with my hands- gardening, whittling, painting and even cleaning the house makes me happy. Playing the piano is my favorite hobby though, Clair de Lune being my favorite piece. I love the effects music has on my life. I'll be attending Utah State University, then University of Utah to graduate with a degree in Neuroscience, but we'll see how that goes. Ultimately, I hope to live life to the fullest by going out of my way to have an adventure. I am currently on a mission in the beautiful country of Norway, doing my best to help Norwegians as best I can. I'm so blessed to have this opportunity and I am loving every second of it.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I find happiness in the church. Every lesson is somehow about Christ and His love for us. I know that Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world and my personal Redeemer. I know He lives. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is so focused on Him. I have found fellowship, love and acceptance from the members of the church and I feel as if I am making a difference when I participate in any of their activities. I know Thomas S. Monson to be a true prophet because I have lived his teachings and found joy. I feel safe from the temptations of the devil when I read the Book of Mormon. I want to be a better person when I read it's pages. It is a true book full of light and knowledge. I am happier when I read it. I know this church to be true and will always strive to perfect myself because of it.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by playing the piano. The church songs are always uplifting to me even on the hardest of days. My official church duties are few, but I try to help out when I can by sewing blankets or making simple toys for others. I find great comfort in reading the scriptures as well. It amazes me how the words can leap from the pages and answer any question or doubt I may have. Because I read them, I know that the Lord loves me always despite my weaknesses.

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

Krista Larsen
I know that God is there and that he loves me because he has personally answered my prayers. He has helped me realize that everything in life is eventually going to be alright, even if we have to wait until death to see it. I have gained a knowledge of him through heartfelt prayer and a constant desire to know him. Show more Show less
