Hi I'm Bruce

I love family, sports and the outdoors, but there is nothing better than grandchildren!

About Me

I have lived in Texas, California, Utah and Brazil. My wife and I have five wonderful kids and a growing band of grandchildren that brighten everyone's day! After high school, I continued my studies at Brigham Young University where I met and married my best friend and then began what has been a rewarding career in the exciting (to me anyways!) world of taxation. Our focus has always been on spending time with family whether it be at a variety of sports, dance, gymnastics activities etc., spending time on family campouts or just having fun at home learning to work and live together. However, the center and stabilizing force has been our faith in the savior Jesus Christ and in serving as members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Why I am a Mormon

Over the years, I have experienced my Heavenly Father's love for me and the confirming influence of the Holy Spirit regarding the truthfulness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Such belief has been a guiding influence for me and my family in helping us to live the way we should and to experience great satisfaction and joy as sons and daughters of a loving Heavenly Father. We have learned much, but have yet much to learn while working on our various shortcomings.

How I live my faith

My faith in Jesus Christ and love for my Heavenly Father have been my compass ever since I can remember. At age 19, I had the pleasure of serving the Lord and learning to love the people of Brazil as a young missionary. My love for the Lord grew during these years and has been strengthened ever since from the many opportunities I have experienced serving in various capacities in the church and elsewhere. My wife and I currently serve the youth of the church (ages 12 yrs. to 18 yrs.) in our area by helping to coordinate monthly activities, youth conferences and other spiritual and "fun-based" events to help build character and strengthen faith in Christ.
