Hi I'm Jonah Wilson

I have 4 radical younger brothers who I look up to. I'm an adventurer, a surfer, a videographer, a music lover and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Provo, Utah but have lived in California all my life. Encinitas, California is home. I have 4 younger brothers who are way cooler than me. I try to keep up with them haha. I love to surf. My dad taught me and the rest of my brothers how to surf and we love to go out together as much as we can. I love to adventure, whether it be going on a road trip to San Francisco with some friends or going on a camping trip with my family. In the fall of 2013 I went to BYU-I for the semester and had a blast but I decided to take a break from school and go on a mission. I received my call to the Arkansas Little Rock Mission where I will serve for 2 years and then continue my schooling at BYU-I. I love everything to do with music. I listen to almost every genre and love it all. My dad and I loved to DJ stake dances, parties, weddings and everything in between as a side job. We had a really good time doing that. Probably my favorite thing I like to do as much as I can is go to concerts. I love live music, whether it be U2 or Kaskade, I cant get enough of it. Recently I have had a big interest in videography. I love documenting, editing, and sharing my adventures so I can have that memory of those times forever. I hope I can continue to make videos in the future, possibly even for a career.

Why I am a Mormon

The more I learn about the church and the gospel of Jesus Christ the more and more I grow to love it. It is the true Kingdom of God on the Earth today and I have come to know that through reading the scriptures, prayer, and the Holy Ghost. I have seen a very apparent pattern that when I am living the Gospel of Jesus Christ and doing what I should be doing, I am so much happier and I just feel good. Knowing that because of this gospel, I can be sealed to my family and live with them for eternity, is something I can't live without. I have personally seen and felt the joy that comes from this gospel and I wouldn't trade it for anything.

How I live my faith

I try hard to be an example for others. I have always believed in living in the world but not of the world. I have always had a lot of non-member friends growing up and I figured the best thing I could do to show my faith is to live the gospel of Jesus Christ in order to be an example for them. I really care for the friends I have that are members of the church and always try to keep them on the right path in life. I want them to be happy in this life and occasionally when they stray away, I do my best to bring them back and to let them know I care about them. My family is everything to me. Being the oldest child, I want to be someone that sets a good example for my younger brothers so that they don't make mistakes in life that they will regret.
