Hi I'm Marée

I love my family, soccer, and the great outdoors. I'm a Mormon. I know it; I live it; I love it.

About Me

Sports have been a big part of my life, especially soccer. I played soccer in college for two years and am preparing to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I love music, especially playing my favorite instrument, the French horn. Though I love these things, my family comes first.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have chosen to be. I have a testimony of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He lives and He loves us. He is unchanging. Because He is unchanging, He continues to guide and direct His Church, which is patterned after the manner Christ taught in the New Testament. Jesus Christ is the Head of the Church. Joseph is the Prophet who translated the Book of Mormon and restored the fullness of the Gospel upon the earth. The Book of Mormon is true. I have read it many times and have received that witness for myself. This is a Gospel of hope, faith, love, repentance, forgiveness... "I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God unto salvation..." (Romans 1:16).

How I live my faith

I love to babysit for friends and neighbors. I have helped organize events for the Church in my area and participate often. I attend Institute weekly. I find joy in serving others and do my best to act on opportunities to do so.

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Marée
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, as patterned after the teachings of Christ, teaches that we are to help everyone. "And also ye yourselves will succor those that stand in need of you succor; ye will administer of your substance unto him that standeth in need; and ye will not suffer that the beggar putteth up his petition to you in vain, and turn him out to perish. "For behold, are we not all beggars? Do we not all depend upon the same Being, even God, for all the substance which we have...? "And now, if God, who has created you, on whom you are dependent for your lives and for all that ye have and are, doth grant unto you whatsoever ye ask that is right, in faith, believing that ye shall receive, O then, how ye ought to impart to one another." --(Book of Mormon) Mosiah 4:16, 19, 21 This does not discriminate against people who have different beliefs from us. It is a commandment to help everyone, though to do so "in wisdom and order; for it is not requisite that a man should run faster than he has strength" (Mosiah 4:27). Show more Show less
