Hi I'm Susie

I am a wife, mom and grandma. I love sunsets! I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife, mom and grandma. I love sunsets, the color orange and apple fritters. I grew up with an inactive dad. Right before my dad passed away, 4 years ago, his heart was softened. He was 80 years old and teachable. He visited with our wonderful Bishop to resolve any issues. He saw our ward missionaries just a couple of times but I knew he would recognize the Savior when he saw Him. My angel mom, throughout their marriage, remained faithful and true. Love changed the heart of my sweet dad.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised by a faithful mom. Through difficult times, I saw how her testimony helped her. Her example has been my greatest strength. My testimony has been tested and sometimes I have not been strong, but I am converted again and again through the Holy Ghost. I know we are loved. I know our Savior understands every joy, disappointment, and heartache. Through my most difficult trials, I have not been alone. Whenever I have turned away, the road is so rocky and I have stumbled. When I am faithful, the rocky road is easier to travel. The hurts are still there but through a loving Heavenly Father, I feel comforted. The gospel is my joy, strength and life!

How I live my faith

I am serving with the adult women in our ward. I see great trials and sweet joys as I serve these beautiful sisters. I love visiting teaching. I have gained some of the dearest friendships through this inspired program. I continually see the hand of the Lord as hands are joined together serving, loving and blessing each other. I learned early on how love can soften a hardened heart, comfort weary souls and invite the Spirit. I try to show love to all I meet through kind words and actions. By serving others, we can share our love and in tune open their hearts to receive the Lord's love.
