Hi I'm Tara

I grew up in Idaho. I have a degree in Fashion Design. I'm a wife and a mother of 6. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love sewing, crocheting & baking. I went to BYUI when it was Ricks College and have 2 degrees from there. I have an associates in Art & Science and an associates in Fashion Design and Production. I love to go camping with my family and doing Anything with them. My family are my best friends. I am a wife and a mother of five soon to be six. My children range in ages from 19 to soon to be newborn. I am a stay at home mom & love being with and caring for my family. I do alterations on anything from wedding dresses to pant hems. Home is my Haven.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church, but I continue to be a member because I know when I live the gospel truths and keep the commandments, I am blessed. I also know, when I don't live the gospel truths and keep the commandments, blessings are withheld from me. I have lived both ways and can see the many blessings God gives me in my life when I am obedient. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is Christ's church restored upon the earth today. I know that God loves me and blesses me when I do what I know is right. And when I don't do what is right, I know that God is disappointed in me and wants me to repent & return to him and blesses me when I do. I know that Joseph Smith restored the Gospel of Christ to the earth through His direction. Just like the scripture says, "By their fruits ye shall know them" and I know the fruits of Joseph Smith prove that he was a prophet of God. I know that we have a living prophet on the earth today, Thomas S. Monson. He is God's mouthpiece on the earth today & lets us know God's will for us.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by daily reading the scriptures, having personal & family prayer twice daily, and attending all my church meetings each Sunday. Sunday is my favorite day of the week, because it is the only time I get to spend the entire day with my family & not have to worry about anyone going to work or participating in extracurricular activities. I love working with the youth on Sundays and Wednesdays. Especially because I get to be with my daughters. Each week we set a night aside usually Mondays to spend time as a family learning gospel truths and having fun together and the best part having treats, at least that's what my kids think. On a monthly basis, I get to know 3-4 sisters in the ward by visiting with them in their homes & sharing a monthly message & getting to know each other better. Doing this builds lifelong friendships and helps us to look after each other and know of each others needs. Whether it's taking dinner to them when they are sick or overwhelmed, or watching their children and helping them around their house, we can help look out for each other and be Christ's hands on earth.

What do Mormons believe about the Holy Ghost? Who is the Holy Ghost?

We believe that the Holy Ghost is a personage of spirit, unlike Jesus Christ and God the Father. They are celestial resurrected beings with bodies of flesh and bone as we have. The Holy Ghost is only a spirit so that his influence can be felt by many people at the same time, kind of like the suns influence can be felt by many people at the same time. The Holy Ghosts purpose is to testify of truth, teach us, warn us of danger both physical & spiritual, & comfort us. He can be our constant companion after we are baptized and will remain with us as long as we are being obedient and doing what is right. When we are not obedient, he will leave & we are on our own to make decisions because he cannot be with us when we are disobedient. His influence is a blessing from God. Show more Show less
