Hi I'm Stas Allen

I was born in Omsk, Russia in 1998. I came to America in 2004. I am an avid fencer, I'm a Boy Scout, a brother, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Omsk, Russia on May 9, 1998. I lived there for a few years then came to America briefly with my mom when I was three years old. My mom couldn't raise me up on her own so she sent me back to Omsk to live with my grandparents while she saved up her money. In 2004 she came to take me to California. A few years later she met my dad Jason Allen who is a Mormon. For a year we went to church but mom and I didn't get into it. But in seventh grade I started to get more active eventually getting baptized on December 14, 2013. Best decision I ever made!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because when I first became committed to going to church there was a seed planted in me and over the years it began to swell. I saw how other members were so happy and I wanted to be happy like them. I believe that Joseph Smith saw God and is a true prophet because things like the Word of Wisdom foretold the dangers of tobacco years before modern science proved it. I believe that this church is the true church because we have young missionaries, trained for barely half a year, who go out and minister and convert hundreds, thousands of people a year. Only those with the true spirit of God could be able to do a miraculous feat like that.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by going to church each sunday and passing the sacrament. Each morning I wake up before everyone else at home, eat a bare bones breakfast and leave for seminary. I share the gospel at school, so far I gave out two Books of Mormon and told practically my whole drama class about our church. I take part in young mens, I am a Boy Scout and proud to say that I am in a Mormon troop.
