Hi I'm Sister Rebecca Webb

I am optimistic and energetic. I love music, the outdoors, and movies. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the middle child of 5. I have 2 older brothers and 2 younger sisters. I am currently serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the Charleston West Virginia Mission. I love the people and being able to serve them each day. On my arrival home I plan on continuing my education and eventually becoming an elementary school teacher. I love hiking, reading, playing basketball, watching movies, and spending time with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it brings me happiness and joy everyday. The gospel is my giant chocolate chip cookie that I want to share with the world. I love it with all my heart and I know it's true. I know the the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the Christ's church on the earth today. I know that the prophet Thomas S. Monson is a prophet of God and is Heavenly Father's mouthpiece. I know that the Book of Mormon is true, I have read many times and every time I do I feel the Holy Ghost confirming that it is true through joy, peace and comfort. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God. I have stood in the sacred grove and I have prayed there and I can say without a doubt in my mind that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ really did appear to a young boy at 14 and they did speak with him. I know that families can be together for time and all eternity and I am ever so grateful for that gift. I know that Heavenly Father is real, he is there and and he knows each of us by name and answers our prayers. I was 15 when I started to question whether this was all true or if my faith was for nothing and one night I decided I would pray about it. As I did I heard a soft whisper, it wasn't a great boom or a giant miraculous light in my room, but a small voice that said, "You already know it's true." From that point on I have never questioned my faith and I have never questioned prayer or my Heavenly Father. I know that he is real, I know that he loves me, I know that Christ lives, and I know this is true. I am Mormon because of the joy, happiness, and comfort that I receive everyday of my life from being a Mormon and living Christ's gospel.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being worthy to enter the temple everyday of my life. I read the Book of Mormon daily and find comfort and peace through talking with my Father in Heaven day and night and throughout the day. I look forward to going to my church meetings every Sunday both in my home ward and my singles ward. I look for those around me who are looking for his light and I am always willing to share his truth with those around me. I can't wait for the chance to serve people for 18 months and not only focus on my faith, but also focus on sharing my faith with the people of West Virginia and helping them find their faith as well.
