Hi I'm Kris

I joined the Church in the 60's when I was 18 and I am still a Mormon.

About Me

I am a Mom, a Grandma and retired teacher. I joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints when I was 18. I attended BYU and after that I got married. I raised four wonderful children. My youngest son was born with Cystic Fibrosis which claimed his life when he was 20. My faith gave me the strength it took to keep facing each day with hope and courage. I worked from home, then finished my college degree, got a Master's Degree and began a career in teaching in an elementary school. I taught college courses part time for 10 years. I married for the second time later in my life and enjoy the companionship of a very special man.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the Church when I was 18 and it was the best decision I could have made. Through times of joy or times of sorrow and confusion, I have drawn upon the teachings of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints to sustain and support me. The Lord knows each of us by name and stands by us through the seasons of our lives waiting for us to call upon Him for His guidance. His tender mercies have blessed my life and I continue to marvel at the magnitude of His love. I am grateful to be part of this Church and am happy to be part of the good that it represents in the world at this time. I know my Savior lives and that I will tool

How I live my faith

Currently I am making good use of my teaching skills in my ward and direct the teaching activities of the 3 to 12 year olds on Sundays. I love to sing and even rose to the challenge of being the ward choir director for 4 years. I visit four or five sisters in my ward each month and enjoy the friendships we have developed. I enjoy helping others reach their goals whether they are personal or spiritual. I study the scriptures regularly and attend all available church meetings. Prayer is an important part of each day and I seek for guidance from Heavenly Father.
