Hi I'm Marty and Livona

"We are Mormons. We love the mountains. My wife loves animals and people. I am an accountant."

About Me

I received a degree in Accounting from the University. I worked with a natural gas pipeline for 33 years until I retired. My wife wanted to stay home and raise our five children. She loves children and also volunteers at the zoo taking care of animals and sometimes going to schools and teaching them about the various animals she takes from the zoo with her. She has done this for the last 25 years. We both love the mountains and have a cabin in the mountains where we love to spend time watching the animals. I have a motorcycle and we love riding the motorcycle when we get a chance.

Why I am a Mormon

Our parents have always been faithful members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. We were baptized when we were eight years old. My testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ came when I was nineteen years old and serving as a missionary in Italy. I prayed about the truth of the Book of Mormon and the truthfulness of the gospel wanting to know if it were true. I did not like to say I was a member just because of my parents. I received an answer from the Lord which I cannot deny. The plainness of the gospel and the authority or priesthood to act in God's name has been restored. We are Christians and we strive to follow the example of Jesus Christ. As members we have seen and felt the Lord's help in our lives and it has brought great joy. Now that are children have their own families, we will be serving Jesus on a mission together in Rome, Italy for 18 months. We are grateful for our testimony of Jesus Christ and we know his church and authority have been restored and that it is guided by a living prophet,, Thomas S. Monson to help guide the people in these difficult times.

How I live my faith

We have been involved our whole life in the church working with youth and adults and planning activities. We love to serve other people. I have helped approximately 30 young men get their eagle scout award from the Boys Scouts of America. My wife has worked with sisters in the ward that need extra help and have problems to assist them and make life easier. We love the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and the opportunities to serve others like Jesus Christ. We always strive to help our neighbors and it does not matter if they are of our religion. We believe in being good neighbors and are friends to all in our neighbors.
