Hi I'm Christian

I am a piekid. I am a wannabe musician. I am a Mormon.

About Me

Hello World! I'm Christian. I'm the youngest of 6 kids, my parents are both converts to the church, so that means I am a Mormon. I love music. I love writing songs for orchestra or band or choir or a combination of all three. I finished my first Symphony and I'm only 19. I play percussion, primarily the marimba, but I love the ukulele, guitar, piano, other drums, the dijerido, and just whatever I can get my hands on, I'll make it into an instrument. I'm from West Virginia which was pretty hard because I was the only Mormon in my school for awhile(the other one would have been my sister). But I just love life and everyday I would look at the sunrise and just realize that Heavenly Father loves me and has blest me with another day. My family owns a pie shop so I've been baking pies since I was 8. For my job, I worked in a fish market for a year and a half. I'll be going to college to major in Music Education and History.

Why I am a Mormon

So even though I was born into the Church, I definitely had to make my own decision to stay in the Church. I think for me it was when I was 15. I never read the Book of Mormon. I never really prayed. I just went because I knew I had to. So I just said, "enough is enough." I remember looking at my friends and they studied all the time and their scriptures were marked and had all these notes in them and I said to myself, "I wanted that." So that's what I did. I started reading the Book of Mormon. I started to realize more and more that my Heavenly Father really does love me. And He loves You too. He is our Father. He has brought this wonderful work to the Earth again. I'm so grateful to be able to serve Him for 2 years. I know that the Book of Mormon is true. And I know that because I prayed about, to know that it is true. I knew that if I prayed, I would get an answer because I know that Heavenly Father loves me. I know He loves me because He gave His only Begotten Son to pay the price for all of our sins, transgressions, temptations, iniquities, and weaknesses. Every paper cut, every time we feel depressed or alone, and anytime we feel like we failed, He felt that. He suffered for us so that pain or guilt is a fraction of what it could be. That is the Atonement. I know that the Atonement of Jesus Christ is true, because the Book of Mormon testifies of it. And so the cycle restarts. To those who read this for some reason, I want you to know how much I truly love you. Thank you for reading this. Thank you for deciding to look into this Church. I testify you will be blessed for doing so. And I say this in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

How I live my faith

So actually I live my faith by serving my God. So right now I'm actually serving a mission to the Germany Berlin Mission. I've put all of my faith on Him to give up my normal life for 2 years. I'll have so little contact with my family, but I just think about all the families that I can bless while in Germany. I love my faith. I study the scriptures daily and I love talking and sharing what I learned to other people.

What is being a Mormon like?

So for me, it's showing the world that I know Heavenly Father loves me. Being Mormon brings so much joy into my life. Not saying I don't feel down or sad sometimes, but when I do, this gospel helps me to have so much more joy in my life. Show more Show less
