Hi I'm Brandon Purser

I grew up in Kaysville, Utah. I lived in Saudi Arabia for two years. I got an LDS Mission call to Alaska. I AM A Mormon.

About Me

I am an 18 year old teenager who lives in the same world as everybody else. It is hard to focus on what really needs to be focused on. I try my hardest as all of us do. I like to go mountain biking, hiking, motor boating, wake boarding, camping, fishing, skiing, and many other exciting activities. I have recently received my LDS mission call to the Anchorage, Alaska mission. Words cannot describe how excited I am to teach the only true gospel the the wonderful people of Alaska. It was always been a dream of mine to go to Alaska.

Why I am a Mormon

I live and love the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I choose to follow His gospel because I know this is the only true church on this planet. This church has taught me so many things. It has helped me gain a love for every single human being on this planet no matter what they have done. The Atonement was made for every single one of us when we slip up and make mistakes. Just knowing that by repenting and living the Word of God, we will be able to live with Him some day. Knowing that my brother Jesus Christ died for us, and for all of our sins just so we could live with our Heavenly Father shows that he loves us. I love how we have a role model to look up to and say, "I'm trying to be like Jesus". Jesus Christ and The Book of Mormon have changed my life for the better. That book is the most accurate book I have ever read. I know it with all my heart, mind, and soul that this church is true, and I love being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

How I live my faith

Living in Utah has really been a blessing to me because the LDS standards are all around me. I have recently served as an assistant to my Bishop of my ward, and this really helped me grow spiritually, emotionally and closer to this gospel. I have learned to love the youth, not only in my ward, but everywhere. I grew closer to them by being their leader and trying to be the best example I can to them. My biggest joy in life is seeing people get rewarded by seeing them follow my guidance and look up to me as an example. It can be very intimidating, but since I don't have any younger siblings in my family, I look at the youth in my ward as my little siblings. I love them with all my heart, and I don't want to send them astray.

Are Mormons Christians?

Brandon Purser
Yes, Mormons are Christians. Our religion is centered around Jesus Christ. It was His religion that he taught when He lived and He loved it and us so much that he died for it and us. His church was restored to us when Joseph Smith had the First Vision. Jesus Christ and Heavenly father came down and told Joseph that His church would be restored. Show more Show less
