Hi I'm Rebekah

I grew up in Utah. I play the violin and viola, and I love to sew! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have completed one semester of general education and two semesters of Fashion Design in college. Sewing is one of my favorite hobbies. Another one of my favorite hobbies to do is to play my instruments, the violin and viola. I enjoy the outdoors and spending time with my Family. I am very grateful for the many talents and blessings which the Lord has blessed me with, and for the things that He continually blesses me with every day.

Why I am a Mormon

The day I was baptized and confirmed a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints at the age of 8, I felt a light come into my life that I had not felt so strongly before. It was the Gift of the Holy Ghost entering into my heart, and feeling God's love for me helped me to develop personal goals and desires to change and to become more like Jesus Christ. The joy and peace that I feel from keeping the commandments of God is incomprehensible, and my relationship with Him grows stronger as I continually seek and act upon His holy teachings. I testify that these teachings come through the whisperings of the Holy Ghost, and that He speaks to us through His servants, the prophets (D&C 1: 37-38; Amos 3:7). I testify that God lives, and that He sent His only Begotten Son, Jesus Christ, to Atone for the sins of all men. Christ truly is our Savior and Redeemer. We are God's children, and He loves us perfectly. I know that the Plan of Salvation is real, and that we can return to live in the Kingdom of God as we have Faith in Jesus Christ, repent, obey His commandments in all things that we do, and endure to the end. The Lord my God is my Light and my Salvation. He is all truth and has all wisdom. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the Restored Gospel, and it is the only true church on the earth. I know this because of the Spirit of the Lord which testifies of its truthfulness to me in my heart. I will forever serve my Heavenly Father, because I love Him. "He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him." (John 14:21) This Church is true, and God holds His greatest blessings for those who follow Him and keep His commandments.

How I live my faith

I serve as the choir director in my Ward, and doing so has strengthened my testimony of the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ as I direct my choir in singing arrangements of the LDS Hymns. I have also been blessed with the opportunity to serve as one of the chairman over the friendship/communications committee within my Ward. I have developed a deep love for not only the members in my ward, but also for everyone around me. Serving in this calling has taught me more of the importance of having Charity, which is the pure love of Jesus Christ. I have received more happiness, peace and joy in my life because of it.

What is being a Mormon like?

Being a Mormon brings great happiness, peace and joy, which happiness, peace and joy are one of the greatest reasons for being here on the earth. Our Heavenly Father wants us to have joy, and He wants us to return to live with Him again. We do that by having Faith in Jesus Christ, repenting, keeping His commandments and enduring to the end. As we exercise our Faith in Christ through personal prayer, scripture study, and attending church, we are able to understand the best way to find happiness and joy in this life, which happiness and joy comes from knowing about the gospel of Jesus Christ, our Heavenly Father's Plan of Happiness and His law in which we must continuously strive to obey.
