Hi I'm Renee Koth

I grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio, I love the outdoors, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Cincinnati, Ohio with 4 other siblings, 2 elder and 2 younger, and I have lived in Ohio, Massachusetts, Nebraska, and Utah. I am attending Brigham Young University working towards a degree in the medical field and will be serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Romania and Moldova. I grew up singing around the house and still love it, and I love spending time outside. From hiking to rock climbing, from soccer and running, I love the outdoors. Everyday is a new adventure, and I absolutely love spending time with my family and friends.

Why I am a Mormon

Being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints has been one of the most important aspects of my life, and I would be a completely different person without it. I was raised in this church, but through prayer and my life experiences I know that this gospel is true by own testimony. The people I have met, the principles I've been taught, the standards I follow, and the faith I have in Christ have all shaped me and lead me onto a path that I know will bring my family and I to happiness, and I'm so grateful to have the faith that I have. Others argue that living by the gospel has so many rules and guidelines, but living by this gospel has set me free to become the best person God knows I can be. I know that I have a Savior and a Father in Heaven who loves me and knows me better than I know myself, and I know they love each and every other person on this Earth as well. Because of this gospel I know that I am never alone, and I always have Christ by my side.

How I live my faith

The essence of the Gospel of Jesus Christ is love. One of our goals in this life is to become more like our perfect Savior, Jesus Christ, and loving others is one of the ways that we can do so. From doing something like cooking dinner for a family in need or volunteering at a service event in the community, to a simple hello to a stranger I pass at school, I know that every time I try to be kind to someone it can make a change in others and myself. I try to express my gratitude for others and the things they do as well because I know that they have helped me feel the Savior's love, which is why I love opportunities to help others as well. With my faith, I live knowing that God has a plan for me, giving me strength and patience when difficult things happen in my life that I can't explain. Christ gives me the courage I need to progress and become better. My faith helps me live up to the potential Heavenly Father knows I have. Right now I am serving as a full-time missionary for the Church in Romania and Moldova, and sharing the gospel and this love with others has been a huge blessing that I would never trade for anything. I'm spending a year and a half completely focused on sharing this love with those in these countries, and I love it. The gospel of Christ has changed everything about my life, and with this faith, I can share the joy this truth has brought me with the people in Romania.
