Hi I'm Kailean

I live in Pleasant Grove, took 2nd in the state Sterling Scholar competition, play eight instruments, and I am a Mormon

About Me

I love creating things. Coming up with an idea then working to give it life gives me more joy than anything but the gospel. I especially love to do this in the fields of engineering, software design, and music. I am an avid musician and love everything about music, from listening to it, to performing it. I play eight instruments, and someday hope to share the gospel through them. One of my most prestigious accomplishments was I took second in the Utah Sterling Scholar competition in the field of computer science.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know this gospel is true. There is no evidence against it. It is like how Alma answered Korihor in Alma 30:41 "And now what evidence have ye that there is no aGod, or that Christ cometh not? .... But, behold, I have all things as a testimony that these things are true." There is nothing like this gospel in the whole world. There is a feeling that you get when you read the Book of Mormon, or go to church that you cannot find anywhere else that lets you know it is true, and once you know that you cannot help but focus your life around this truth.

How I live my faith

I currently serve as a priest quorum secretary. I take roll each week, take notes each week, and try to keep tabs on people (just to make sure they are doing all right). I also home teach with my father. In the past two years we have only missed one month out of 24. I recently received a mission call to serve full time in Berlin Germany! I am so excited, and cannot wait to leave. I head out June 18 and will be in the MTC for 2 weeks before flying to my mission. Nothing gives me as much joy as spreading the gospel and helping others, so I am super excited and I hope to help as many people as possible find the truth :)
