Hi I'm Lancelot

I play basketball, volleyball, dance ballroom, and a musician and I'm a Mormon Missionary in Cambodia.

About Me

In all of my hobbies and interests I ask myself, "What can I do to improve my talents?" Whether it's basketball or volleyball or music or ballroom. I'm always looking for improvement. I love basketball so much, but the sad thing is, I'm better at volleyball than I am at basketball. So I'm trying to set new goals for what I can do to improve my development in basketball grow faster. Right now I'm preparing to serve the Lord for the people of Cambodia. I'm always trying to find out what I can do more to learn more of the language and how I can bring people closer to Christ. I know that if we want to improve our talents, Christ is the way to perfect my talents! Christ has blessed me with a wonderful family and probably the best friends anyone can ask for! I have a strong desire to go on a mission and serve the Lord.

Why I am a Mormon

After reading the Book of Mormon for the first time, I felt an overwhelming feeling of joy and happiness. I wondered what this feeling was. Was it from God or myself? At the time I thought, "Well maybe I don't know but maybe that's okay" and I moved on with my life. I wasn't until in 2014 where I read a scripture in Doctrine and Covenants 9:8, and that scripture helped me understand that the good in me was coming from God. Even if I still change, for Him, nothing has EVER changed, He is the same. He will always be there, and when I get these feelings thinking I'm like a robot and nothing comes from God, I see the sun like a morning in America or the sunrise in New York where the sun is always shining bright even if it rains. These feelings that I get every time I read the Bible or the Book of Mormon come from God and I couldn't be more happier! God has the power to help all His children and because of Him, we don't have to have the weight of the world on our shoulders. He can make our burdens light! Through His grace, even when we think we're gonna lose our heads, He will always be there to comfort us! Another thing I really love about the Church is the standards we have. We have these standards to try to become more like Christ and I really love that! I love the fact that as a missionary for Jesus Christ, I have a standard in which my fashion is a white shirt, a tie, and dress pants, socks, and shoes. These standard don't restrict me, but help me come closer to Christ and I wanna feel like I'm coming closer to Christ all the time. That's why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

As a missionary for Jesus Christ, I try to become like Him. There's a reason why it's called, "Serve a Mission", and that's because it's all service. I don't get anything, in fact I actually pay to serve a mission. Which brings up the question, why would I do this? In fact, why would thousands of missionaries volunteer to go on missions? Well I'll tell you why. Because this church is TRUE! The gospel of Jesus Christ is all about love and I want to go and Love the people of Cambodia with all my heart! In the last two verses of Matthew, Jesus tells His disciples to go forth and spread His gospel. This is how I'm living my faith, by teaching the gospel of Jesus Christ to the World!

Are Mormons Christians?

Lancelot
We most definitely are. It's in our name " The Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter-Day Saints" It's his church. We respect his name and we refuse to take upon it in vain because we want to never misuse it in a bad way. Show more Show less
