Hi I'm Candice Pratt

I'm a mother of four children. I'm the wife of a doctor. I like to cook.I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the third of four children in our family. As I grew up, I learned the power that hard work have in ones life. I watched my mother raise us kids, work full-time and go to to school full-time to provide for us. Though it seemed like forever, I remember how proud I was to see her graduate and move up through the ranks of her job through hard, honest work. I then worked hard along side my husband to put him through first college, then medical school & finally residency. During that time we had many adventures & four sweet spirits which are the true loves of my life. My family is my pride and my joy. My free time is spent reading, planning fun and delicious meals, taking walks & going to parks with my kids, and either scrapbooking or Facebooking. I would like to someday study to get my CPA, do some traveling & serve a couples mission when the children are gone.

Why I am a Mormon

The gospel of Jesus Christ, provides the foundation to keep my faith strong. The commandments keep me safe. The Book of Mormon fills my mind with the light of the Holy Spirit to receive answers to my prayers and keep me from being deceived by the world. I am able to see the blessings of God in my life on a daily basis. Sometimes these blessings come through many trials & tears. Even when I have been at a confusing crossroads in my life & I don't know what to do next, I always feel safe knowing that my Father in Heaven is in control and that if I endure in following His gospel teachings all will turn out right.

How I live my faith

I have also worked hard to keep our family well anchored in the gospel of Christ through family prayer and scripture study - from the first day of our marriage to the present day. A child is never too young to show a Christ-like example. We have had our children participate in scripture reading through the illustrated Book of Mormon Reader since they were infants. Our 3 year old has been offering mommy/daddy assisted prayers nearly every day since he could speak. Motherhood the the greatest gift our Heavenly Father has granted human kind and is shamefully looked down upon by the world. There is nothing nobler than nurturing the spirits and minds that God has placed in my care. I am filled with pride to see my family succeed by following the gospel. I also love to serve in the Church. Through service I am a better daughter of our Heavenly Father and feel a tighter bond to the sisters & brothers in the church.
