Hi I'm Tammy

I am a daughter, sister, wife, mother, and teacher. I enjoy reading and long distance running.

About Me

I have always wanted a big family and have a good start with my four children. I love being a mother and doing fun activities with my family. Going for walks around the block, kicking a soccer ball, and blowing bubbles are some of our favorite activities. I also teach 5th grade. These are my children away from home. I love to read young adult fiction, and run long distances. I ran my first and last marathon last year, and am looking forward to my first triathlon this year.

Why I am a Mormon

I have always been a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. What I remember most about my baptism at age 8, was the feeling of peace and happiness that I had done the right thing. I knew my Father in Heaven was happy with my decision to be baptized. Since that day I have had many experiences that have confirmed to me that this is the true gospel on the Earth today. I can tell when I am living the gospel as I should, because I am happier in my day to day life. I know we have prophets that receive revelation today to guide this church. I also know that I can and do receive personal revelation on how I should live my life. I know families are forever, and I am grateful for that knowledge. Knowing that I can live forever with my family makes the little time we have together here on this Earth that much sweeter.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith in the day to day doings with my children. We go to church on Sunday's, have family night on Monday's, and have daily scripture study and prayer. Since my children are young we read out of the children picture stories for scripture reading. After scripture study we kneel in prayer. These daily acts help us remember who we are and what we need to do in our lives to continue to be happy. I am currently serving in cub scouts. Together, the boys and I, are teaching each other the skills of tying knots, cooking, and even bike safety.
