Hi I'm Tyler

I am in High School, and love to run, program, and meet other people. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a High school Student who is a total tech geek. I love building and creating things. I often find myself going to Goodwill and buying random electronics and using them to build something new. I have created gumball sorting machines, live webcam feeds for my room, and robots you control with your smartphone. I hope to become an Electrical Engineer and design robotic systems. I also love to run, especially in the rain. My dad has run multiple marathons and my goal is to run one with him some day. I play guitar, both electric and acoustic, as well as the French Horn. I love to create music and preform.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Church, and for a long time I was a member just because it was what I was born into. However, once I reached my teenage years and realized the growing freedom I had, and how I could spend it differently than I have been taught. However, I've realized that being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints is what truly makes me happy. From first hand experience I know that it has helped me gain happiness and fulfillment in my life; knowing where I came from, why I'm here, and what my purpose is. While being a "Mormon" is not the easiest, I know it has brought me happiness and peace in this world when it is so hard to find it.

How I live my faith

In my ward I help plan activities for the priests quorum, young men ages 16-18. I also watch over and visit three families and a single woman in our ward. I constantly try to help those in my ward, where my skills as a technical geek can be fully utilized. I plan on serving a full time Mission in Tulsa Oklahoma Spanish speaking from July of 2014 - July 2016.

What blessings can we receive through the gift of the Holy Ghost?

Tyler
If you live worthily, the Holy Ghost can be one of the most powerful gifts you will ever receive. I can personally testify that if we live worthily, and are listening, we can receive guidance, comfort, and direction from our Heavenly father. Show more Show less
