Hi I'm Scott

I grew up in Iowa and have lived in Utah since 1976. I am a retired electrical engineer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a husband, father and grandfather. My family is very important to me. I am an army veteran, college graduate and retired engineer. I enjoy playing golf, hiking, gardening, watching grandchildren's activities and spending time with my wife.

Why I am a Mormon

While in the Army stationed in Germany I was introduced to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints. I had not attended church of any kind for many years. I was drifting and not sure of my direction. The missionaries began to teach me about faith, repentance and baptism. I was given a Book of Mormon which they told me was another testament of Jesus Christ. As I read the Book of Mormon, prayed and continued to be taught the Holy Ghost testified to me that what I was reading was indeed another witness of Jesus. The day I was baptized and confirmed a member of the church was wonderful. Since that day as I have tried to live a Christ like life the blessing have come when I have needed them and they continue to come.

How I live my faith

My faith is very important to me. I enjoy participating in service projects. Helping others gives me joy in knowing that maybe I have helped lift anothers burden a little. Over the years I have worked with our youth. I have taught Sunday School, been a Scout Master, assistant Scout Master and taught young men classes. Enjoyment has also come from leading adults in various class settings. I have also served in congregational leadership positions that have allowed me to help minister to our members. The Lord has blessed my life and I feel it is important to give back as much as I can.
