Hi I'm Amy

I was born and raised in Wyoming. I love my family, music, and books. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a student at Brigham Young University, which is definitely one of the best choices I have ever made. I absolutely love my family and am so grateful for them. I have always loved learning and going to school, though I have also participated in volleyball, played violin in orchestra, and played piano for most of my life. My favorite hobbies are reading novels and playing the piano. I love marveling at the beauty of nature that surrounds us, like the gorgeous mountains in Provo.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that the gospel is true. I was raised a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and even though I relied on the testimonies of my parents for a while, I gained my own testimony over time. I know that living the gospel brings amazing blessings, because I have seen those blessings in my own life. I know that my Savior, Jesus Christ, came to Earth, suffered, and died so that all of us could repent of our sins and have a chance to live with Him and our Father in Heaven again. I also know that, because the Savior performed the Atonement, he has perfect empathy and infinite love for all people, because He has experienced every trial that we face. We never have to face our challenges alone, because we can turn to Him and find an endless source of peace and hope. I know that Heavenly Father loves all of His children and that He watches over us. I am so grateful for this gospel and for the direction and peace that it brings to my life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith every day by studying the scriptures and praying to my Heavenly Father. I also live my faith by going to the temple and strengthening my relationship with God. I live my faith by doing small things like trying to serve other people and follow the example of Jesus Christ, as well as by trying to notice and acknowledge the hand of God in my life every day.
