Hi I'm Tyler

I grew up in California. I was raised by two loving parents who love the gospel as much as they love their children. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born to loving LDS parents who taught me and my six other siblings from an early age to put the Gospel of Jesus Christ as a first priority. Now, I am preparing to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I'll be serving in the Virginia Chesapeake Mission. I feel that it is a divine calling from the Lord. In high school I was a Water Polo player and a swimmer where we were first in League and second in Sections, but after graduating and going to college, I sacrificed my two favorite sports and I was left with only my old guitar to keep me company. After my mission I want to get my degree in electrical engineer or computer science.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into this Church. I would say that I have a spectacular conversion story because there isn't one specific moment when I knew beyond a doubt that the church was true, but it was more of a collage of moments and personal testimony-building experiences, with a multitude of individuals who helped by their words and examples. Line upon line. Precept upon precept. I grew in my testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Whenever I questioned that which I was living, I prayed and felt the comfort of the Holy Ghost telling me telling me it is true which gave me faith. In time Heavenly Father would put someone in my life to change my life in a small way and would change my faith into a firm testimony in the thing in which I had previously questioned. Even more so in college because their is no pressure from my domineering parents to force me to live the way that they want me to live, but after I left home, it was just me. At first I was incredulous about the amount of liberty I had in everything, including practicing my religion. In time, I found myself drifting away from the religion that I had always known. As I did so I felt my life grow harder. I eventually fell into depression and the only thing I had left was a hope that things would get better. The next semester, I changed my focus on what God would want me to do and found that my life did grow happier because I was living a Christ-like life. Now, I testify that this church is the only true church that has all of the same doctrines as when Christ was upon the Earth. There is a Prophet upon the earth today and his name is Thomas S. Monson. The Book of Mormon is in perfect harmony with the words of the Bible. Jesus Christ is our Redeemer and Savior. He has taken upon himself the sins of the world and was crucified because He loves the Father. Because he loves the Father and us. Christ is our brother and friend. This is precious to me and pushes me to live in the way that God would want me to live like.

How I live my faith

I am preparing to serve a mission in which I will leave my home for two years and find and teach those that wish to be blessed by the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
