Hi I'm Joseph

I grew up in Moab, Utah home to Arches National Park. I guide trips down the Colorado River. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I thrive for adventure in the outdoors! Being with friends and family while hiking, biking, rafting, or simply throwing a Frisbee around at the park brings me much satisfaction in life. I've noticed that regardless of personal background and upbringing, everyone can find a similar interest with someone else. I love meeting new people and sharing experiences. In my free time I enjoy reading, playing soccer, singing, and spending time with friends. I've found that being spontaneous makes the best memories! On a typical day you will find me studying for various classes, working to pay for school, practicing the piano, and planning my next adventure. I will soon be serving as a missionary in Brazil for 2 years.

Why I am a Mormon

Having been born into a strong LDS family, I grew up learning and believing what I was taught about the gospel both at church and at home. During my teenage years I gained a strong testimony that it was indeed the true church of Jesus Christ. I'm Mormon because I know that Heavenly Father has a plan for me, just as He does for you. I'm Mormon because I know that there is a purpose to our lives, and that it involves bringing all to the knowledge of the gospel. I'm Mormon because I know that Christ lives and was resurrected. Because of my beliefs, I am more confident in who I am and what I can and need to do. I'm less frustrated when I face life challenges, and feel comfort when I'm in need of strength. This church has taken what I am and turned me into someone better!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by finding a common interest in others and sharing my love for them. I try to be the best that I can be while sharing my talents with others. In the past, I've helped organize various service opportunities for the youth in the church, and assisted with events that helped strengthen their testimonies. What I've enjoyed most from my callings in the church is teaching and learning about the gospel from others. Now I have the opportunity to share my beliefs with others for the next 2 years on my mission. I'm so excited!
