Hi I'm Logan

I'm a future Nuclear Physicist, and I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am an avid runner, a crazy Physics Nerd, and I am not satisfied with the because. I have as my dream job being a student for forever, but since no one pays you to get taught I have decided to teach and go learn by doing research and that is partially what has led me to choose Physics as my future degree. I am planning on pursing a PHD and becoming a professor of Physics with my emphasis in Nuclear physics. I have recently returned from serving as a full time missionary in Nebraska. I have met many wonderful people and have had the chance to serve and get to know them. My Mottos about learning are: If there is something to be Discovered or learned, Discover it, and learn all you can because if you don't who else will? If Learning isn't exciting, you aren't really Learning.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born a "Mormon," both sides of my family have been members of the church for generations, I have lots of Pioneer heritage, however Heritage is not Faith. I have spent the past two years of my life serving as a missionary for the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day saints in Nebraska, and I have walked and slept and taught along the same path that they traveled yet my experiences have been different. I have met hundreds and thousands of people from different cultures and Religions and I have had to ask myself Why am I am missionary. The answer is rather simple, I know it to be true. I could cite history and Logic and reasoning and many other fine words to persuade people that this is the Church of Jesus Christ, however I won't nor would it be any good. Before my mission and during my time I have taken the time to pray and ask my God, my Heavenly Father, Is this the church of thy son? and I have prayed over it and I have always gotten and affirmative answer. As specific story was one day we were doing service in a small town in our area and we asked a man if he needed help and he said, no I am fine, and he then began to attack our beliefs and to get in my face and I was hurt my spirit was damaged and I was confused and I wondered why? I let him damage my testimony, my witness of truth and one evening I just couldn't sleep, I had to solve the question once and for all without a shadow of doubt sit he Book of Mormon the word of God? I knew it was but did I believe it. I went into our study room and knelt and prayed and I felt a feeling of Love and warmth and peace and joy and comprehension and Knowledge just fill my soul. I know this is true because He Holy Ghost told me so and He can not lie and I know that Jesus is the Christ, and that the Book of Mormon is a new witness and that the priesthood of God has been given to Man on earth once again

How I live my faith

Faith is a very interesting word, some related words are Faithful and Fidelity which mean in essence to be true to someone or something. I live my faith by being true to what I know to be true. Jesus Christ in his ministry taught the people several basic things first have faith or confidence in Him, then Repent and Follow him. Repentance means having a change of mind and heart that gives us a fresh view about God, about ourselves, and about the world. When we do that we learn and grow and change our lives for the better by following Christ. Jesus Christ set the perfect example of service. the type of service he gave is known as charity, or Full of the pure love of Christ. As we serve we learn more of Christ and we come to love others as he loved them. I strive to serve whenever I can whether it be in the community as a planned project or simply in a moment when someone needs help, I live my Faith by Repenting and Serving others what more is there than that Loving our neighbors as our selves and loving God with all our Heart, Might, Mind and Strength.
