Hi I'm Heidi

I've competed in national poetry slams. I am studying International Development and Advertising. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I sure love a lot of things. I love to be outside. I love to bake baguettes, and I also love to eat them. I love to visit new places and see the ways that other people live life. I love to listen to audio books with a headphone splitter with my older brother, especially while we hike. I love going to art museums or symphonies and knowing that I am in the presence of genius.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it brings me closer to Christ and makes me happy. Hardly anyone in my high school was Mormon, and people asked me all the time why I am Mormon and how I know that it is true. First of all, I have put the teachings to the test. When I live by the things that my church teaches, I am happier. I have more peace, love, and feelings of self-worth. I also have prayed to know if it is true. When I prayed, I felt a peaceful feeling in my heart and in my mind and I knew all throughout my body that it was true.

How I live my faith

I am in college, so the congregation I am a part of is made up of college students. When I go to church, the other college kids and I run the meetings. Everyone has a group that they meet with every Monday night to have a spiritual message and have some fun with. My job is to make sure that these Monday night meetings are going well and that each individual feels loved and spiritually fed.
