Hi I'm Kendra

I'm from Ohio and Maryland. I'm an identical twin, musician, programmer, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Ohio, but my dad's in the Air Force so I've lived in Ohio, New Mexico, Illinois, Ohio, Maryland, in that order, and right now I'm working towards a computer science bachelor's degree at Brigham Young University. I have two younger brothers and an identical twin sister. I love music. I've played the piano my whole life, I played the french horn all throughout middle and high school, trumpet in jazz band for three years, and I've taken an organ class here at BYU. (But that doesn't mean I can play it very well. It just means I know enough to recognize that it sounds bad when I try to play organ-style on the electronic keyboard at church because the organ setting sounds better than the piano setting.) I love to read and I love to make things. When I was little, I made useless crafty little paper things and left them all over the floor, annoying my mother. When I was older, I made jewelry and such with beads and tried hard to not leave them on the floor, but some still ended up there, annoying the vacuum cleaner. Now I make computer programs that sometimes have little bugs all over in them, annoying me.

Why I am a Mormon

I've been a member of this church my whole life, so I can't tell a dramatic conversion story, but I can with certainty tell you that having this gospel has blessed my life. I am so grateful for my Savior Jesus Christ. I know He loves me and is always there for me, and that there have been hard times that I could not have gotten through without His help. Even when things aren't that bad, His love for me helps me know that I can do better and helps me to be a better person. I know that the Book of Mormon is inspired of God, and I know that this is Christ's church on the earth.

How I live my faith

Right now, I play the piano for things a lot, but in a couple weeks, I'm leaving to serve a mission in Guatemala :) I'll probably play the piano a lot there, too, but it'll mostly be teaching and serving others.
