Hi I'm Tyler Sorensen

I was born and raised in Georgia, I'm a student at BYU Idaho, but I'm currently on a break for a mission in Alaska. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Im 19, im a sophomore in college. I love longboarding, snowboarding, rappelling, camping, mountain biking, and pretty much just anything that gets my adrenaline pumping. I play video games too sometimes. An average weekend consists of way too many hours of hanging out with the few awesome friends i have. I love traveling.. Ive been to most of the United States and hope to go to all of them, and many foreign countries.

Why I am a Mormon

I love this church because ive found true happiness through it. I know that my Heavenly Father loves me, and i can always count on that, even if the whole world seems to be against me. Ive met some unbelievably amazing people that i could have never met if i were not a member of this church. Ive seen members of the church who have slipped away and not followed the standards that i strive to follow, and it just causes so much sorrow and strife in their lives and the lives around them.. And i dont want my life to be like that. I know Joseph Smith restored the true church to the earth today. I know i can be with my family forever. I love this church.

How I live my faith

I love going to church! I know the what i learn in church is true and the talks i hear at church really help me with tough times that i might be going through. Every year our stake (a group of local congregations) does a carnival for special needs kids, and thats one of my favorite things to do every year. Im currently on a 2 year mission for the church, in Alaska, so that i can teach people all about the gospel, so that they can have this great happiness that i have because of the knowledge i have of the plan of happiness and the friends ive made through this church. I'm currently serving in Fairbanks, and I've served just about everywhere else in the state. It has been incredible to be able to help everyone and see people change as they use Christ's atonement to make changes in their lives.
