Hi I'm Miriam

I'm a mother of 6 and my family is my passion. I love learning and teaching. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife and a mother of six. My passions include music, cooking, and traveling, but my greatest passion is my family. I love that I get to be with my kids every day and even though some days are harder than others, I'm thankful for every day that I'm home with them. This is the most fulfilling job I've ever had.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a Mormon home. My mother taught me about Jesus Christ and His mission on the earth and about my Heavenly Father's plan for me. She also taught me to pray and search for answers on my own, instead of simply taking her word for it. I know that my questions are good and that answers are available to me when I ask. Everyone gets answers to prayers in different ways, but for me, when something is right, I feel calm and peaceful and my understanding increases. I have studied about my Savior and I've prayed to know that He's real. My prayers have been answered again and again. I know that Jesus lives and that He is my Savior. And I know that He loves me very much. I am a Mormon because the gospel of Jesus Christ is true and my church supports me as I strive to live more like Him.

How I live my faith

I've traveled all over the country and across the ocean, to places that were unfamiliar and sometimes lonely, but I've always found comfort and friendship as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. The gospel of Jesus Christ doesn't change because of geography or culture, it is constant, and the church helps us live according to our beliefs no matter where we live or travel. Because of my membership in the church, I've been asked to serve in many ways. I've been a teacher, a missionary, a scout leader, and a friend to those who needed a friend. Some of my favorite opportunities have been the ones where I get to teach and support children. The world is changing. I look into the eyes of these kids and just know that they will need to be strong, smart, kind, and brave. I can help them prepare for the challenges they'll be faced with someday. I believe in them and I love them.
