Hi I'm Dan

I was raised on a farm in Idaho in a family who were members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

About Me

I'm a father of 6 children, 4 boys and 2 girls. I was a teacher and coach for many years and am now retired. I enjoy tending my grandchildren (14) and helping my children with projects when needed. I am a history buff and love reading about any historical events.

Why I am a Mormon

While I was raised a member of the church I felt I still need to gain a conviction of the gospel for myself. With some effort on my part, I have prayed and found the truthfulness of the restored Gospel of Christ for myself. I know that God lives, that He answers prayers (as I have had many answered) that He knows us by name. Because He loves us He sent His Son Jesus Christ to serve as Mediator and Savior for us, that this perfect Son took upon Himself the sins of the world, that all may gain Eternal Life. I know that among many prophets who have been called of God, that a young boy, Joseph Smith was called to restore Christ's Church here upon the earth in our times, and this is the true Gospel of Jesus, and that by living its precepts all who believe and follow may be saved. And this is the good news, the glad tidings of the Gospel and why I believe so much in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

How I live my faith

I have served in a variety of callings in my Ward and Stake. Each calling has had its challenges and most I have not felt prepared for but, as I served, I have grown in my testimony and conviction of the truthfulness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Are Mormons Christians?

We are a faith based church and we believe that only through the Savior will mankind be saved. We worship the Savior, Jesus Christ in every aspect of the Gospel. There would be no church without the Savior. Show more Show less
