Hi I'm Christian

I have lived in Utah since I was born. I've been a lifeguard for 7 years. I'm a missionary, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love being outside. I like sitting around a campfire with friends. I like taking a break in my hammock. I played soccer in high school and still love playing it. I like learning about history, communication, psychology, lots of things. I love music and want to make electronic music someday. I like solving puzzles and playing board games. I like helping other people be happy. I'm currently serving as a full-time missionary in Virginia. Hablo Español.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is God's kingdom on the earth and that it was restored by the prophet Joseph Smith. I know this because I read and prayed about the Book of Mormon and received an answer from God that it is true by the power of the Holy Ghost. I've been able to overcome hard experiences in life by turning to God and the teachings in the the Book of Mormon and the Bible. Doing so brings knowledge and that knowledge brings peace and comfort. I know that Jesus Christ, our Savior, lives and loves each one of us. I know that he wants all of us to be happy and one day return to Him together with our families.

How I live my faith

I'm serving a full-time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ off Latter-day Saints. I love talking to people about what I know to be true and I love being able to help and serve them. I know that I'm doing what Jesus Christ would want me to do and I try my best to follow His example. I have found that helping others be happy is the best way to be happy yourself :)

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

Christian
The Atonement of Jesus Christ includes His suffering in the Garden of Gethsemane and his death on the cross at Calvary and His resurrection three days later. He suffered for us so that we would not have to suffer if we repent. By living the Gospel of Jesus Christ, which includes faith in Him, repentance, baptism, receiving the gift of Holy Ghost, and enduring to the end, we access the power of the Atonement of Christ to help us overcome both sin and death. What is the purpose of the welfare services of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints?

Christian
Jesus Christ taught that we should care for the poor and needy so that is what we do through the welfare program. Members of the Church believe firmly in the principle of work and we try to help people become self-reliant through this program. As they say, "give a man a fish and he'll eat for a day. Teach a man to fish and he'll eat for a lifetime." Show more Show less
