Hi I'm Marc Udall

I am a family doctor and I am a member of the Church if Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints- a Mormon if you will.

About Me

I am a father of 8 children and grandfather of 29. I am currently serving a mission for our church with my wife. I have recently retired from a long career in family medicine. I have had farming, horse back riding, driving horse teams and fire arms as hobbies.

Why I am a Mormon

Well, this is not easy to answer. Yes, I have had life changing events that cannot be explained with earthly explanations. Maybe some could do it, but the simplest explanation is the hand of God has reached out and saved me both physically and spiritually. To feel the love of God enlarging ones soul, the flood of light and knowledge, and insight into ones mind and heart from the word of God found in the Bible, Book of Mormon, and other scripture confirms its truth. To watch the small tender mercies of day to day miracles in my life and feel Gods love by them, witnesses to me that He IS THERE and reconfirms the truth of the words and works of God. To experience the joy of seeing, I should say understanding, how pieces of the puzzle of existence fit together and of being able to add new pieces of mystery in to the fabric of the plan of salvation brings joy, and confirmation by the Holy Ghost that the gospel of Christ is true and that the restoration of his church is true, and that revelation (answer to prayer) has not stopped and I, little me, can be part of this grand cause. I believe and can feel that ALL that has happened and that will happen, will yet be revealed. In sum this has brought me to know that God desires us to know Him, and by that He desires us to have His knowledge as part of "All that my Father hath shall be given unto him." D&C 84:38. This faith in me fires my hope of the good to come which causes charity to well up towards all men. This Grace of Christ has changed me and continues to do so, and so I believe; and so I know as Peter said to Christ when asked if he would fall away with unbelief: "Lord, to whom should we go? Thou hast the words of eternal Life." What earthy thing can supplant that glory, none. I am pleased therefore to continue to be changed by the Grace of Christ to be more like Him.

How I live my faith

I have been a Sunday school teacher or the like for most of my career in the church except for a few years in boy scouts. I have supported a Girl Scout troop. Organized a charity farm to provide grain for the needy and potatoes for our local soup kitchen and food bank. I wrote a book called "Patients of the Saints" that I published in 1996. It is about the second coming of Jesus Christ. It came from my study as a Sunday school and priesthood teacher. I have been a home teacher for decades. I have tried to give back to the community by volunteering when I could to staff free clinics, and staffing medical facilities for community activities or for the church, which is what I am doing now.
