Hi I'm Joshua

I was born in Texas, I grew up in Utah, I'm preparing to serve a mission in the Colombia Cali mission, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love all things outdoors. My favorite thing to do is go mountain biking with my friends. I was on my high school swim team for three years and will graduate as part of the 2014 senior class. I love to do things with my friends and family.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born to faithful parents who live the gospel to the best of their abilities. I have followed their example and in doing so I have felt the comfort and happiness that comes from the gospel. I have exercised prayer and I know that it is a direct connection to our father in heaven. I have witnessed friends that have been devout members of this church fall away and renounce the gospel and I have seen the joy, the prosperity, and the purpose the gospel brings, leave their lives. I have also seen those same aspects enter into the lives of those that have accepted the gospel. I see a clarity that exists in the church. No mater what I encounter I can never find any flaw with the gospel and its purpose. All things in my mind support this gospel as the true gospel of god, and it is for this reason that I will offer two years of my life to further Gods great work on this earth as a missionary of his church.

How I live my faith

I serve as one of my ward missionaries and as a youth leader. My primary obligations are to bless the sacrament for my ward, to help the families that I home teach, to support and encourage my peers and friends, and to assist my leaders in any way I can. I live my faith by doing all I can to incorporate my beliefs into my every day life.

What is the Word of Wisdom that Mormons talk about?

Joshua
The Word of Wisdom is a promise from God. If we obey his counsel on how to care for our bodies we will be blessed with spiritual as well as physical benefits. While science and governments change their views on what is legal and illegal and what is healthy and unhealthy, God is perfect and has given us the information we need to remain healthy.
