Hi I'm Matthew Sortomme

I was raised in Ephrata Washington. I'm an identical twin. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm the youngest of seven children and have an identical twin brother, Michael. We were raised in Ephrata Washington, a little desert town, and have attended the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints together. I love music, listening and playing on the piano and trumpet. I also love horse back-riding, and have been in a couple clubs, owning several horses. Art is another passion of mine, and I enjoy making sketches and cartoons. I love my family, and spend time with them, playing games and attending activities.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I want my life to be like Christ's. I have many faults and weaknesses as we all do, but I know that Jesus Christ atoned for my sins, allowing me to repent, turn away from my sins, and become like him. He is my Savior, and I worship Him by living His teachings, obeying his commandments, and loving Him with all of my being. I have read the Book of Mormon for myself, and say to all people that it is the word of God, and testifies of Christ as the Old and New Testaments of the Bible do. I am a Mormon because I want to be everything that Jesus Christ wants me to be.

How I live my faith

I'm currently serving the Halifax, Canada mission, which I'll be doing into 2016! I keep the standards of the Church in conduct as best I can. I read the Bible and the Book of Mormon, as well as the literature published by the church, and attend church meetings. I also watch as many church conferences as I can via internet and cable.
