Hi I'm Jenna

I was born and raised in Utah. I have a testimony of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college student studying Landscape Architecture and Environmental Planning. I love golfing and tennis. I'm an avid reader and an amateur painter.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a family where the teachings of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was already prevalent. I grew up knowing that Christ's church truly was restored on the earth today. I've never really doubted my faith. But with that said, like anyone there comes a point in your life when you have to stop relying on the faith of your family and find out for yourself. This happened for me when I was in high school. I was attending my seminary classes regularly and my knowledge of the gospel was increasing. I remember finishing the Book of Mormon for the first time in my life by myself. I prayed to The Father and asked in the name of Jesus Christ if the Book of Mormon was true. My answer was nothing profound, but it is undeniable. The thought entered my mind and heart that I already knew that it was true and I'd known all along. I love the teachings of my Savior Jesus Christ. I am trying to become like him in all I do say and think. This to me is what life is all about, and to know that because of His infinite atonement I can one day reach my goal and become perfected, this is so sacred and important to me it is almost impossible to put into words. Christ lives what more can I say? Because he lives I will follow him. Why am I a Mormon? Because I love my Savior and want to follow him. This is His church and the only way back to the presence of The Father. I'm a Mormon because it is true.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through daily acts. I read my scriptures and pray daily. I find a great source or strength in my Heavenly Father's words. There is a power in sacred texts and holy communication through prayer with the Father. I strive daily to look for opportunities to serve and love those around me. I try to listen to the promptings of the Holy Ghost as I go through out my day so that I can more closely align my will with the Father's. I attend institute classes at my university. These religious classes help keep me anchored in truth and increase my knowledge of the scriptures as well as strengthen my testimony. I serve in my ward as the institute coordinator and my main purpose behind this calling is to encourage others to make institute a priority in their lives. I am also a visiting teacher and I have the privilege of visiting the most wonderful girls on a monthly basis. I get to see how they are doing and share a message with them. This calling is a wonderful opportunity for me and I feel like I am benefiting more than the girls I teach. Living my faith to me means living every minute according to the will of the father.
