Hi I'm Paige

I'm an artist and designer, a wife and a mother. My life full to the brim with chaos and beauty.

About Me

I am married and have two beautiful daughters. I am an oil painter and try to squeeze in as much time at the easel as I can. I feel lucky every day that being home with my girls, something that I've always wanted to do, meshes so well with pursuing my career in art. Some days I don't feel like I'm juggling it all that gracefully, but at least I have the opportunity to try. As a family, we love spending time riding our bikes together, playing at the park, and making art. Creating a childhood for my girls and raising my own family has been one of the most challenging and rewarding creative endeavors I've ever taken on. I feel humbled by it every day. I'm drawn to patterns, be they visual or experiential. As an artist, I depict these patterns as I meditate on my own life. My artwork is very much an outgrowth of my daily experiences with mothering, worship, and building personal relationships with our families, with others around us and with our God.

Why I am a Mormon

While I was born into The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, my continued activity in the church has very much been a deliberate personal choice. I am a Mormon because I love Jesus Christ and I believe this is His church. I believe that He is at its helm and that knowledge gives me great comfort and peace. I know that Jesus Christ is the only real constant. He is The Rock. I am a Mormon so I can build upon that rock, and anchor my faith and my life in something (someone) that's immoveable. Every time I am confronted with a doubt or a question that seems to shake me, I try to dig my anchor in a little deeper. Sometimes that comes with answers to questions, and other times it just comes with a reassurance that Christ knows me and knows my heart; that He loves me and will provide me with what I need. I'm a Mormon because it's a great way to live. My faith gives me purpose and insight into my identity as a daughter of God. The knowledge that I have been endowed with a portion of my Heavenly Father's divinity is as empowering as it is beautiful. I feel happy and content because I know who I am and who's I am.

How I live my faith

I live my faith in series of small, daily acts. I pray. I read the scriptures. I study the words of modern prophets. I serve and support my family. I take care of those in need. I think these small consistencies are what fortify my faith more than any one big thing. One of my favorite ways to serve is through personally visiting other women in our ward. Each month I visit four women in my ward. It gives me a chance to have Christ-centered conversations that are edifying and uplifting. I check in and make sure they are well and have their needs met throughout each month. I've always found it amazing that wherever in the world I have lived, I have women in my congregation who are interested in my well-being, in how my family is, and in how strong my faith is. Beautiful relationships have formed, and my testimony has been strengthened because of these monthly visits. Christ gave us a perfect example of caring for others. I try to emulate him as I demonstrate compassion, empathy and love to those around me.
