Hi I'm David Milligan

I have lived in Utah, Virginia, Idaho, and Oklahoma. I have excelled academically, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love academics, logical puzzles, and riddles. I am graduating high school May 2014. I am an Eagle Scout. I am the oldest in my family of 6, with one brother and two sisters. We get along rather well, and I try to make my actions be a good example for them in all ways.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was younger, I was a Mormon out of habit. My family was in the church and it was convenient to hold the same beliefs my parents did, as it was easier to live without many of the complications that relationships, mature movies, and drugs bring. As I became older, though, I learned not only why we are encouraged to have the standards we do, but how it reflects what Jesus Christ desires of us, and how striving to be like him increases my testimony and personal character. After finding myself in repeated situations with peers where I had to defend my religion (I was in an intolerant religious acting group), I became strengthened by my testimony, beliefs, and knowledge of the restored gospel upon the earth.

How I live my faith

I have been consistently called into the presidencies of the Young Men programs in my ward. I am a co-chair of the Stake Youth Committee, which means I help organize youth events, and I appreciate all opportunities to teach my fellow youth. I am diligent in my home-teaching, and always seek chances to share it and my standards with my peers.
