Hi I'm Caleb

I grew up on a ranch in Casper, Wyoming. I found the church at the age of 17.

About Me

When I was 17 I was introduced to the missionaries. I struggled at first but within a year I was prepared to serve a mission; I was called to the Moscow Russia Mission. Previously, I had lived in a strict, non-denominational Christian family, and am currently trying to bring the gospel into their lives. I've farmed most of my life. I love photography, and physics.

Why I am a Mormon

Before I was a Latter-Day Saint, I struggled to find truth. I studied science and philosophy and religion continually, and although these things gave me subjects to ponder, I never found happiness in what I was studying. However, when I was introduced to the missionaries, and began taking the lessons and asking them questions, something marvelous happened. I began to gain a testimony about the restored gospel, what I found was pure, true, and amazing. I cannot even begin to explain the blessings I've received from this gospel in my life.

How I live my faith

I have a calling as a ward missionary. This is one of the most fulfilling callings I could have as it allows me the opportunity to teach with my ward missionaries regularly. I also have a calling as a Elder's Quorum teacher, which I struggle with due to my shyness in front of crowds.

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

Caleb
The Atonement of Jesus the Christ was the single most important event in all of Heavenly Father's Creation. All of time and space revolves around the atonement, and its meaning. The atonement was preformed by the Son of God, Jesus of Nazareth in the meridian of time. During that time, Christ took upon himself all of the sin, despair, trials, temptations, heartache, and disease in the world, the weight of which was so great that he bled from every pore in his body. Afterwards he was crucified on the cross. This was done to fulfill all righteousness. It was done for you, so that you can overcome these trials and stumbling blocks you face. Christ suffered all things so that he would know perfectly how to help you, and to forgive you of your sins. Show more Show less
