Hi I'm Chandler

I like to write novels and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Chandler, I've been a part of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (the Mormon church) my entire life and I love this gospel more than anything else. I write romance/fantasy novels and I like to draw pictures, as well as play the guitar, piano, and sometimes the flute. My favorite artists/bands are Taylor Swift, Parachute, Bridgit Mendler, and One Direction. I also like archery and watching movies with my family and friends. Disney movies are my favorites! :) I love to smile and laugh and enjoy sharing my beliefs with pretty much anyone who will listen.

Why I am a Mormon

I've been a Mormon my whole life, but I was only truly converted after I'd gone through a rebellious phase when I was 12-13. I was mostly going to church because my parents made me. I didn't really understand what any of it really meant. But after I was diagnosed with 95% bone loss in my jaw joint and I was told that I would have to stop doing a lot of things, I was forced to take a step back and realize how precious this life really is. I've gained a much stronger testimony since then and even though my arthritis isn't gone, I've been able to accept it and grow from my trial because it helped me become the person I am today. So as hard as it is to be so young and suffer from such severe arthritis, I know that my Heavenly Father is there for me whenever I need Him and that the pain won't last forever because I know that I'll live with Him someday and be perfected in Him.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving to live the standards given to us by the living prophets on the earth today and treating others with respect and compassion because I know that we're all children of God and we all deserve to be treated as such. I don't serve in any callings in my ward at the moment, so I try to be a good example to everyone around me by the way I live.

How can we come to know our Father in Heaven?

The way that I came to know my Heavenly Father was by praying to Him asking if He really cared about me as much as everyone said or if it was just one of the phrases Latter-Day Saints (Mormons) like to use. I didn't get my answer for what seemed like forever, but when I did get it, it was worth the wait. He related the principles of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to my life and my circumstances personally. I'm still getting to know my Heavenly Father, but every time I pray to Him and read the scriptures and keep all of His commandments, I get to know Him better because I know that He always answers our prayers personally. So in order to get to know Heavenly Father, ask Him in sincere prayer and scripture study and He'll answer you, I promise. Show more Show less
