Hi I'm Jessica Hopkin

I'm a sister, a friend, and a student. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am attending college and I am studying to become an Elementary School teacher. Children have such wonderful spirits and their sense of adventure and desire to learn is contagious. I love spending time with my family and being outdoors. I love playing ultimate Frisbee, soccer, and volleyball. I have an older brother, three younger sisters, and a younger brother. I love spending time with them and learning from them. They have given me some of my most treasured memories. I have been called to serve a mission in Fresno California, and I cannot wait to watch the gospel change the lives of the people that I am able to come in contact with.

Why I am a Mormon

I am so very grateful for this church and for the influence it has had in my life, and I know that without it I would not be where I am today, or who I am today. I have been taught about our loving Savior and His sacrifice for me and all others on this earth. I know that He knows how I feel, no matter what challenges I face, and that He is always there by my side helping me and giving me the strength I need. As I have gone through life I have seen how the ways of the world can take hold of a person's life and drag them down and make them feel like there is no way out. I have felt this way sometimes too, but I also know that we have the Savior that we can turn to. That we can never fall too far to be out of His reach. I am also extremely grateful for my family and for their love and examples. I know that they have provided me with so much strength, knowledge, and comfort. I know that my family and I can be together forever. I know that when life here on the earth ends, I can still see my family and be with them. I love the peace that I feel knowing this. Without the gospel I would be lost in the world. I am so glad I have it to buoy me up and help me find my way back to my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I have had the opportunity to help my mom teach four year olds and it has been such a blessing for me. I have also been in the presidencies of some of my classes and have greatly enjoyed getting to know the people I have served with and the others in my classes.
