Hi I'm TEISHA

I was born to parents who were not active members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a Mormon but most of my family and friends are not. I have grown stronger because of this trial. I am 23 years old and have been married for 4.5 years. I have two beautiful boys. I received a bachelors degree in Marriage and Family Relations and may choose to go into counseling or teaching in the future. For now I am a stay at home mother. I love my job, as it is the most important job in the world! I also love to do crafts, sing, read and organize.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have always known in my heart it this church was true...since I was 7 years old. In the New Testament Christ prepared to leave his people and ascend into heaven. But he would not leave them completely. He left his holy spirit to help teach, comfort and guide them. It is that holy spirit of Christ that has told me in my mind and in my heart that this church is true. As I have gone through many difficult trials in my life, I have always felt Christ helping me along through his spirit. I make mistakes. But he knew that I would and so he sent his spirit to lead and guide me...and to comfort me through my mistakes. As I have lived the gospel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints I have seen how doing so has allowed me to become more humble, more free, more patient and more loving. I have learned to work on putting myself aside in order to love and help others. This gospel brings true and lasting happiness. I am so happy to know that there is life after this and that I can be with my family for forever.

How I live my faith

I got to church for three hours every Sunday. It may seem like a lot, but it is uplifting and completely worth it. Our church asks people to serve others by holding callings or jobs in our local buildings. I have previously held callings working with and teaching children as well as teaching adult men and women at our church. Currently I am working to help the women I attend church with. I love. teach and administer to them.
