Hi I'm Ari

I grew up in Utah. I'm Polynesian specifically Samoan. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm part of a choir called Divine Heritage where a group of members of my religion who like to sing get together and share our testimonies through music. We put on firesides, baptisms, ward activities, etc. I grew up doing Polynesian dances and would perform for schools, luaus, and cultural events. I played volleyball throughout high school and I love it! Three most important things to me are my religion, family, and music :)

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because I know that this is the true Church on the Earth today. I know that Heavenly Father sent his Only Begotten Son, Jesus Christ, to atone for our sins and to loose the bands of death for each and every one of us. I know that Joseph Smith, a prophet of God, was called to restore the fullness of His gospel in these latter days. I know that the scriptures: the Bible, Book Of Mormon, Doctrine & Covenants, and the Pearl of Great Price; are the words of God and were written by men of God through inspiration and revelation. Heavenly Father has answered my prayers numerous times and I have felt his presence and unconditional love every day. I know that I am a daughter of God who loves me and I love Him. He has blessed my life tremendously and he has given me the gift of Eternal Families. And because of this gift, I willingly accept the privilege to serve the people of the Atlanta, Georgia area so that the people I teach can be together eternally, even after this life, with their families. I know I"m not perfect, but Heavenly Father loves us perfectly. He has a plan for all of His children. We just have to do our part to return back to Him. Life is hard but with Him on our side, we can overcome temptations, trials, and our individual struggles. Through prayer, fasting, reading, and pondering the scriptures, I have gained a strong and solid testimony of this Gospel and of the love that our Heavenly Father has for me.

How I live my faith

Every month our Women's Organization in my Ward do various Service Projects in our community. This month we will be going to our Local Care Center and help with our welfare program. I teach Sunday School Class for the Youth ages 12-13 and substitute teach the other Youth classes ages 14-15, 16-17 when needed. I am also a Young Adult Representative and I help plan activities, Family Home Evenings, and Service Projects for all the Young Adults in my ward. I am a Visiting Teacher with my mom and we try to meet with the sisters in our ward every month. I have recently been called to serve an LDS mission in the Atlanta, Georgia area and my journey starts July 16, 2014.
