Hi I'm Ben

I grew up in Livonia, MI. I have been called to the Florida Orlando Mission! I am a Mormon.

About Me

Right now I'm a missionary in the Florida Orlando Mission. Before my mission, I was a student at Brigham Young University in Provo, UT (still undecided in my major). I am the third of four children, and a proud uncle to my little nephew. I am an Eagle Scout with a love of the outdoors. I love running, geocaching, unicycling, and backpacking.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised by two wonderful parents who both had strong testimonies of Jesus Christ and of His restored gospel, and I was able to grow up with their example's of faith in my life. As I started learning things for myself, I found guidance and comfort in the Book of Mormon, in the words of the prophets, and in the doctrines of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I know that this is Christ's church, restored upon the earth by the prophet Joseph Smith, and that Jesus is at the head of all of it. The Holy Ghost has born witness of these things to me--not in big, miraculous ways, but in peaceful, quiet assurances that tell me that what I have learned is true.

How I live my faith

Service!! I had the wonderful opportunity to be a Program Director for Y-Serve's Community Clean-Up here at BYU. I've also been involved in the Church and have had the chance to work with many other special people. Whether it's getting to know someone who looks lonely or getting down and dirty with my hands in a flowerbed, I strive to find the little opportunities where I can use my strengths to help those around me. I know this is how Jesus lived his life, and I know that as I try to emulate the things He did that I will be able to find true happiness.
