Hi I'm Oriana

I'm Chinese, I grew up in Southern California, I love music, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love nature. The world that we live in is absolutely beautiful, and I wish I had more opportunities to enjoy its beauty. I love love love to sing! I don't know where I would be without music, good friends, and an amazing and supportive family in my life. I'm kind of a Disney fanatic. I absolutely adore (almost) anything and everything Disney. I also enjoy a number of other pastimes, such as reading, cooking, baking, writing, racket sports, biking, and random amateur (nature) photography. I've learned that having a positive attitude is the key to being able to accomplish great things and being happy every day, and that the flower that blooms in adversity is the rarest and most beautiful of all. (Ten points if you can guess what movie that's from!)

Why I am a Mormon

I know that this is the one true church upon the face of the Earth today. I love reading the Book of Mormon, because it's so full of truth. In this one book, you can learn so many principles and apply them to your everyday life. It's definitely a book with more truth than any other book you could ever read. Although it is not in the Book of Mormon, one of my all-time favorite Scriptures is John 16:33. It reminds me of His Atonement and His unconditional, undying love for us. We can survive absolutely anything life throws at us, because He has overcome the world, and He can help us through it. I truly wish everyone could experience the peace and joy that this Gospel and the Atonement of our Savior bring to my life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being an example to those around me, and holding my standards high in their significance to me. I do my very best to love and serve those around me as much as I can. Sometimes I don't condone certain actions and ideas of others, but I still love them and try express my love for them through service and friendship. I also love to try and go out with the missionaries to help them teach investigators as often as I possibly can. It's always a super fun, great experience! I have the privilege of being able to serve in the England London mission, Mandarin-speaking, and I can't wait!
