Hi I'm Jake

I grew up in Utah. I'm a husband, a dad, and a Soldier. I', a Mormon.

About Me

I love to spend time with my family, they mean the world to me. I have a beautiful wife and three great/crazy kids. We love to camp, hike, and go on vacations. I fly helicopters and love to be able to see God's beautiful Earth from a 1,000 feet in the air.

Why I am a Mormon

I believe in God. I can see his hand in my life. When I'm in nature I feel like this Earth had to of been created by a greater being, and that we have a greater purpose in this life other than just living and dying. There is much more to it than that. That being said, I believe that God spoke to mankind in the past as is spoken of in the Bible. I believe that if there was ever a time that man needed divine assistance and guidance, that that time is now. I believe God spoke to a prophet named Joseph Smith in the early 1800s, and that today he speaks to his prophet Thomas S. Monson. That gives me great comfort. I know that Jesus lived and died for all of us, and that we can be happier in this life by listening to the teachings of His prophet on the Earth today.

How I live my faith

I love to attend meetings on Sunday. Those meetings not only help me to keep the Sabbath day holy, but they re-charge my spiritual "battery" and help me get through the coming week. I also love participating in service project coordinated by the church to help all members of my community.
