Hi I'm Gary

I grew up in Washington State, enjoy coaching sports, doing triathlons, just about anything outdoors and being with my family.

About Me

I'm a husband and father of five great children. Have a Finance undergrad and an MBA and enjoy making businesses better. Also like doing triathlons, water skiing, snow skiing, fishing, camping, horseback riding, mountain biking and coaching football & baseball. Just about anything outdoors.

Why I am a Mormon

I feel blessed to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It has been and continues to be a great blessing to me and my family. Praying, reading scriptures as a family along with attending church and holding family nights give us an opportunity to discuss Christ's teachings and how to apply them in our lives. We also discuss how to stay faithful in an increasingly drifting world. Following Christ's example of supporting each other, serving, repenting of our wrong-doings and working to improve a little each day has been a strength. The Bible, Book of Mormon, modern day revelation and living prophets and apostles all work together to help us to follow the Savior's example.

How I live my faith

I work with junior high & high school boys 14-15 years old, facilitating gospel discussions on Sundays and activities during the week to build experiences and friendships among the boys. We also perform service for families and organizations in need in our community.

Are Mormons Christians?

Yes! A Christian is defined as someone who follows the teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ. We work to live the teachings of Jesus Christ so we can have the light of Christ in our lives. It's a challenge to live up to Christ's teachings on a daily basis, but that's the beauty of earth life. We get to practice. Through the grace of Christ and His Atonement, we can get up each time we fail and try again, making progress step by step to become like Him. Show more Show less
